I’ve had the IKEA one (#3) in wood for years. currently use it also as a seat by the door to put shoes on, very sturdy.
IKEA doesn’t recommend painting it but they do have “glazing paint” as a stain if you want other colors

Oooh! I would have never thought to spice up my closet or any space where I need to reach up high, with a cute little step stool. I definitely need a non-ugly step stool now haha!

These are all so cute – I love the mentality that just because something is utilitarian doesn’t mean it has to be ugly! Even step stools deserve to be cute 🙂
